Microsoft is introducing Voice and Face Enrollment in Microsoft Teams—a smart feature that improves audio clarity, speaker recognition, and meeting accuracy, especially in setups with Microsoft Teams Rooms devices.

This AI-driven feature supports:

• Speaker attribution (who is speaking, when)
• Improved Microsoft Copilot performance in meetings
• Reduction of background noise
• Seamless multi-speaker detection

🔄 Rolling Out in Phases

Microsoft is currently rolling out this feature in phases, meaning not all users will see it immediately. If you’re using Microsoft Teams, you may soon receive a prompt to configure voice and face enrollment as part of your profile setup.

Here’s what the prompt might look like:

Prompt: “Join thousands who sound clearer” – encouraging users to create a voice profile for improved meeting experiences.

🔐 Recognition with Control

The feature focuses on voice and face recognition (not privacy settings), and users have full control:

• You can enroll or unenroll your profile anytime via the Teams desktop client.
• Even if admins later disable the feature, you can choose to stay enrolled or opt out.
• Your recognition data is handled securely in accordance with Microsoft’s compliance standards.

Admins and IT security teams can:

• Enable/disable enrollment at a user or organizational level
• Manage deployment across Microsoft Teams Rooms
• Monitor and audit profile usage via Microsoft 365 or Teams Admin Center

This feature strengthens Microsoft Copilot’s performance by enabling:

• Accurate speaker recognition
• Personalized Copilot prompts

To enroll your voice and face profile:

1. Open Microsoft Teams (Desktop App)
2. Go to Settings → Recognition → Voice and Face Enrollment
3. Follow the guided steps to enroll
4. Manage or unenroll anytime as needed
